The blog has taken a backseat in order to focus on more pressing matters.
First of all shout out to Paasky&Sanchez. I manage this hip hop group and have been hard at work trying to make them famous. Website coming soon.
Second of all, I’ve been traveling a lot to Atlanta for events… Such as an inverent with Drumma Boy. Preview coming soon.
Third, I’ve been approached by a few very talented people to work on their projects. Sonny Vito and I will be working on a heavily themed mixtape soon (I’ll be producing a portion of it along with Alex White). Preview and website coming soon. Singer Riva Precil and I will be working on an E.P. exploring R&B, soul, rock, and hip hop styles.
And Finally, I will be doing some work with SIKKIS clothing very very soon!
So as you all should know I’m a big fan of Black Milk. If you didn’t….know you do.
I wrote about his homie Bishop Lamont and jammed Caltroit all spring and summer. Seriously Hot mixtape- might as well be an album.
So What’s with the album artwork? Is Black Milk really posing in front of the Synth section in his local Guitar Center?!

Thanks to Johnny over at MusictoMarketing.com (M2M for short) has written a really positive Preview of TRIFECTA presents Paasky & Sanchez: The SIKKIS.
Shout out to Coco and Freret! M2M previews Trifecta
Trifecta was the first hip hop group that I interviewed here at M2M. The Trifecta mix tape is finally here. I was able to listen to it thanks to my roommate AKA Rockwell, who left a copy sitting in the common room. To be honest, I had very high expectations because I know how hard Rockwell has been working on this project and I have to say that I was blown away on all levels: beats, lyrics, production, etc. With their second project already underway, I see nothing but big things happening for this trio.
The group recently had a guest appearance on Crescent City Radios’ The Hip Hop Hour. Trifecta played some tracks for listeners and talked about The Sikkis and their upcoming project which is expected to be released in August 2008. It is my understanding that The Sikkis will be released on both TuneCore and iTunes soon. I have been listening to The Sikkis for two days straight and there are some great tracks, my personal favorite is track 13 (don’t have the tracks names!). The one track title I do know, “NO To The Bay”, features Loyola rapper G-Eazy. For more information check out Trifecta MySpace and Rockwell Beats.

If you are into hip hop whether its Southern, West Coast, East Coast, You NEED TO HEAR THIS!
This is the mixtape of Mannie Fresh’s new artist The Show! Features exclusvie music from Mannie Fresh and New Orleans own, The Show. Needless to say this guy is a beast, I’ve had the unique oppurtunity of working with Show in the studio and he has an incredible amount of potential and with the team around him, he will BLOW UP. I guarantee it. Production from Mannie Fresh, Bass Heavy, Ceaux Young, Flight School and more. The first half is fire! The second half is good but its just soo damn long (thats not a bad thing!).
Download this now and judge for yourself but you will be hearing more about this.
Word is Mannie is working on a new compilation that will be bigger and better than his last CD (Mind Of…). He is Def Jam South after all…
Cop that shit.
Jermaine Dupri, legendary producer, announced today the formation of a new record label, TAG records. The hip hop label is being formed by Island Def Jam and Proctor & Gamble’s TAG brand and will be head by JD. Not only will TAG records release music via traditional sources but has a massive built in brand marketing department. Apparently, artists signed to the label will be featured in various TAG commercials. Considering how kick ass these commercials have been of late, this idea might actually work.
Artistic credibility is at stake when having not one- but two GIANT corporations take over your career and make you a viral video star via deoderant commercials… We’ll just have to see. Their webpage www.tagrecords.com brings you to their well laid out but friend-less Myspace.
