I’ve had a few chances to play around with ZUNEs and can honestly say, I would buy one if I had the chance. In reality, it is hard to compete with the Itunes/Ipod double knockout, but Microsoft and ZUNE do a very commendable job. The video player is excellent. The look and feel of the ZUNE player is superb. My only gripe, like many is that it is not ‘open.’ By this I mean, millions of people that download music on Itunes cannot use the Zune, let alone use it with a Mac. Now that Intel chips are in everything: Macs, PCs, cell phones… Don’t you think its time for ZUNE to open up? These are just my random thoughts.
If I was a PC user, I would definately get:
HP touch PC, ZUNE, and use Amazon to download my music (wait I do this anyways!)ZUNE.net
OH YEA, Check out the Murs custom Zune player, Pretty Sick (they’re giving one away at the MURS meet+Greet at Loyola!)
Damn, I can't believe I don't have a better picture... but its him allright.
I’ve been a big fan since the beginning. I may Jay Elect in New Orleans in early 2007. We have a mutual friend that introduced us and later we worked in the studio together. We (me and some young N.O. producers) played him tracks and he played us some tracks (over Madlib, Dilla, and Mr. Porter beats). He rapped over one of my tracks.
Unfortunately we have lost contact in the past year and understandably so. With the Nas album and their growing relationship, his undeniable buzz on the Net, Rock the Bells Tour, and his upcoming solo disc- I’m glad to just have the opportunity to have met him. He was an incredibly well spoken, thoughtful, and humble dude. It was hard not to like him. We all smoked together and watched Children of Men (on a killer Bootleg). Shout out to 2dopeboyz for a great blog.
Here’s a vid I snatched from 2dopeboyz.com, probably my favorite hip hop blog. It basically sums up how bad ass Jay elect is.
I feel very honored to announce that Musictomarketing.com has released a video interview of Trifecta which is the hiphop group that I am a member of along with god MCs Paasky and Sanchez. Musictomarketing.com is a well written and thoughtful blog, I cannot say enough about it. Its an inspiration to be recognized for what I am passionate about.
I am told that many more interviews are scheduled with indie musicians and music industry insiders. I cannot wait for the next installment!
So with that said I would like to announce that the first Trifecta project is in its finishing stages. Paasky & Sanchez: The Sikkis is near!!! I meant it when I said in the interview that this is an introduction of a new style of hiphop for New Orleans and the World. Paasky and Sanchez are lyrical monsters and just down to earth guys whose knowledge of the ins and outs of the industry always amaze me. The three of us cannot fail. Straight up.
Props to Alex “the Camera Guy” Wiltz for the amazing editing and filming. This is another man I feel has only success in his future. He will be shooting some Trifecta music videos too.
